Land management LandInfo Orbicon provides an information management concept for use in land use planning, i.e. forestry, agriculture, protected area management, plantations and rangeland management. The concept, named LandInfo, is built on an innovative software package that combines the advantages of a GIS system with local modelling, activity planning and budgeting. LandInfo provides the tool for detailed flexible planning, and the communication with authorities and stake-holders. Furthermore, LandInfo forms the basis for management of the specified area while conserving nature as well as complying with societal regulations.
LandInfo utilises existing data and maps, activity planning and budgeting and via a user friendly interface outlines the planning targets. Land consolidation Most of the countries in Central and Eastern Europe have during the last years had their first experiences with land consolidation as an instrument to address agrirural structures dominated by small farm sizes and land fragmentation, but also in a wider context as an instrument for implementation of local measures for rural development.
Based on international best practise, Orbicon provides technical assistance to the development of national land consolidation and land banking programmes including implementation of pilot projects, development of strategies and capacity building.
