Business, new knowledge and dissemination within nature and the environment

The association

DDH is an association with the status of a business foundation that operates a commercial enterprise, supports the development of new knowledge and works with the dissemination of knowledge within the areas of nature and the environment.

The aim of the association is to contribute at high professional and ethical standards to the solution of assignments related to the environment and natural resources both in Denmark and abroad.

Business activities
DDH has an equity capital of DKK 786 million (106 million EUR). This capital is controlled and managed by Dalgasgroup A/S, which is 100% owned by DDH.

Research and development
Through Dalgas Innovation and the business activities in the Dalgasgroup, we actively participate in the research and development of new knowledge and new methods. We also support relevant research, experimental and development projects that can bolster development within nature and the environment.

In 2009, DDH distributed 4.8 million kr for association purposes - read more here.

Dissemination of knowledge
We believe that the exchange of knowledge and methods as well as a general view of political development trends are important prerequisites for promoting development for the benefit of nature and the environment.

Primary dissemination activities take place through DDH’s Danish-language periodical, ‘Vækst’, which is published 4 times a year.

Unveiling of the statue of Dalgas

Her Majesty Queen Margrethe II is the Patron for DDH.

The Queen visited DDH’s main building in Viborg in 1999 on the occasion of the unveiling of the bronze statue of the company’s co-founder and first managing director E. M. Dalgas.
