Orbicon has provided the international expert in land consolidation for the two year FAO TCP project in Armenia. The overall objective of the project is to contribute to a viable and sustainable agriculture structure and strengthen rural- regional development in Armenia. Specific Objective of the projects are to addressing the necessary preconditions for land consolidation/improved land management and elaborate appropriate mechanisms, tools and instruments for its implementation; and designing and developing the necessary legal, organizational, institutional, technical and managerial framework for land consolidation/improved land management schemes. To achieve these objectives the project has integrated measures regarding institutional development and capacity building, organizational management, participatory territorial organization, improved land use/land management, nature conservation, diversification of income and employment opportunities and village renewal. Additionally the project has secured active participation of a wide range of stakeholders, especially on the local/regional level.
